Happy Monday, friends! Today, I’m so excited to announce an upcoming series I’ll be doing on my blog in the next few months. One of my favorite passages of scripture, Hebrews 11, describes many great heroes of faith in Biblical history. By reminding us of this “cloud of witnesses,” the passage means to inspire us to live our lives with equal faith. This idea of patterning your life after people who inspire you is powerful. Why? Because the people you admire reveal who you want to become.
There is true encouragement to be found in fictional people too, isn’t there? Literary characters can become close friends in the short time we spend with them between the covers of a book; in some ways, we know them better than we know ourselves.
As empowering as it is to discover your own voice and realize how much you have to offer the world, it’s also terrifically important to surround yourself with a tribe of people who are your community. People who, no matter what, will support, encourage, and love you.
At the beginning of the year, I made a map of my own personal inspirations—people who taught me who I want to be. This list of my own personal heroes inspires me to be kind to everyone, to have the courage to make my dreams come true, and to be true to my most authentic self.
NEW BLOG SERIES: “LIVE LIKE HEROES”
On the first Monday of each month in 2019, I’ll be posting a special feature post on a heroine—literary or historical—who inspires me in some way. I’ll explore the traits that I admire most about this person, as well as how we can pattern our lives after their example.
My hope in this journey is that we will recognize the amazing people who have come before us. We will reunite with some old personal heroes—and, perhaps, uncover some new ones. Our first post in this new “Live Like Heroes” series is coming next Monday on February 4th…
NEW POST SCHEDULE
…which leads me to my second announcement! In February, I’ll begin posting twice per week, on Mondays and Thursdays.
Monday posts will be high-quality articles about some aspect of life design or inspiration.
Thursday posts will be more personal “journal entry” reflections and life updates.
I’m so excited for all these new changes to the blog! I’ll see you all next week with the start of the “Live Like Heroes” series.
Love,
